The Perfect Print for Tennessee Tears!
There's a very important date coming up in May and we here at Texprint are already getting very excited. No, we're not talking about Labour Day or Ascension Day... it's time for the Eurovision Song Contest! And we have got our eye firmly on one very special contestant...
Sweden is rightly proud of its Eurovision record, having won the contest seven times. Though we admittedly share that record with Ireland, we have had the most top-five results in the 21st century. Sorry, Ireland! Since 1959, the Swedish entry has been selected at Melodifestivalen.
This year, Melodifestivalen is bigger than ever, showcasing 30 different artists across five heats. The top two songs from each heat, as voted for by the Swedish public, will go directly through to the grand final. Songs that get third place in each heat will go through to a special qualifying round, with the top two from this group joining the winners. The grand final takes place on Saturday the 8th of March and we can't wait!
The fourth heat of Melodifestivalen 2025, which is scheduled for this Saturday the 22nd of February, is the one we're really excited to see as that's the heat in which Tennessee Tears will be performing. Texprint was extremely proud to produce a range of top quality merchandise for the duo, who are hoping to bag a coveted place in the Melodifestivalen grand final next month.
Jonas Hermansson and Tilda Feuk got together to form Tennessee Tears over a decade ago in 2014. Since that time, they have made a big name for themselves and have worked with a glittering galaxy of artists including Jill Johnson, Billy Burnette of Fleetwood Mac, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and many more. Based in Småland (very close to Texprint headquarters!), Tennessee Tears continue to gain fans with their unique country/pop sound.
Tennessee Tears participated in Melodifestivalen back in 2023, receiving the most telephone votes in their heat. As you will no doubt remember, they lost out to Loreen who went on to top the leaderboard at Eurovision 2023, becoming the first female to win the competition twice. In their heat on Saturday they will again face up to a previous Eurovision winner, Måns Zelmerlöw. Tough competition indeed!
