B&C: Sustainable Fashion for Kings and Queens!

It is common knowledge that the Print on Demand (PoD) and Direct to Garment (DtG) processes are the most sustainable when it comes to creating quality clothing but what about the garments themselves? At Texprint, our entire working ethos is built around environmental awareness and sustainability and so we choose to source our garments only from those suppliers which share our values and commitments. 

In addition to eco-friendly garment manufacturers like AWDis and Stanley/Stella, we are also proud suppliers of sustainable, high-quality brands like B&C. In this edition of our blog, we check out some of their credentials.

• Not only is B&C a longstanding member of the global Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), they are in fact recognised as a Fair Wear Leader by that organisation and have been since 2022. The Fair Wear Leader category is reserved for FWF members which, on terms defined by the organisation, are performing 'exceptionally well' and which are operating 'at an advanced level'.
• B&C is also a member of Better Cotton, which allows them to empower farmers around the world to make the best use of water and energy while respecting biodiversity and caring for soil health. These farmers are enabled to work with dignity, security, equity and freedom. 
• The United Nations (UN) has produced a charter entitled 'Sustainable Development Goals' which outlines a detailed and achievable approach to ensuring both environmental and social sustainability. B&C is a signatory of this vital document.
• The brand uses certified organic cotton in the production of its garments. Cotton crops are grown in a controlled manner that makes the most efficient use of water and does not involve the use of any harmful chemicals like fertilisers and pesticides. Every B&C garment carries OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification to prove that no such chemicals are present.
• B&C also uses 100% recycled polyester in its garment range, reducing the global reliance on virgin materials.
